| "When I was diagnosed I had to go to the
Sanatorio. My children had to be divided up between the neighbors
because my family was not living near this town. Now we are
back together. These days women want protection more than the
men. We need more female condoms. If everybody got in the habit
of protection this disease would no longer exist. I reach out
to other people with this disease because if I can show them
the possibility of 'going on', I consider that important work.
Like the day I am spending with Cuba AIDS Project today. It
was important and I feel good about the help you can do. When
people see all of the affection and care you bring, they feel
less rejected. Support is the most important thing." |
